As a Beauty & Fashion Photographer, I’ve helped amplify inclusivity and size diversity within those industries. As a Wedding & Portrait Photographer, my mission is to do the same!

MY EXPERIENCE:

I started my photography career as a Second Photographer for a friend’s Wedding Photography business back in 2008. She took me under her wing and we photographed weddings in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Pennsylvania. After a few years of second shooting, I booked my first wedding as a Lead Photographer in 2010. As a working Photographer in NYC, I also work with a number of clients in various industries, photographing both portraits and events. My experience is extensive; from fashion photography to corporate events, personal branding, advertising, portraits and of course, weddings! Getting my start in weddings has given me a diverse set of skills to bring to any photography client.

WHAT I’M ALL ABOUT:

I’m Queer, I believe in Marriage Equality for ALL. I typically wear all black, but I prefer to express myself with my hair color. I photograph people because I believe that Beauty is for ALL Bodies and strive to create beautiful imagery that shows confidence, empowerment, inclusivity and joy!

As a Wedding Photographer, I love to bring my experience in fashion & beauty to the day however I won’t turn your wedding into a fashion production… unless you want me to.

When you hire me as your Wedding Photographer, you’re hiring me to photograph your day through my eyes. I pride myself on giving great service to my clients, allowing them to enjoy their wedding day and photography experience. I strive to make all of my subjects feel comfortable and at ease during the process of being photographed. I value the time I have with my clients to get to know them and create romantic, beautiful and joyful images of them on their wedding day. I’m always on the lookout for ways that I can creatively capture candid moments, but sometimes the rawness of a photojournalistic image is the best way for me to capture the moment.

GET TO KNOW ME:

I was born and raised in Maryland in between Baltimore & DC. I went to college in Tampa, FL; which is where I began my career in photography. In 2015 I moved to NYC where I’ve lived and worked as a Professional Photographer since. My background is important because it’s my life experiences and skills I’ve learned along the way that have molded me into the Photographer I am today. I’m constantly learning and sharpening my craft. I believe that an artist should always stay curious.

My interest in photography piqued when I was about 5 years old. I would take my family’s cameras and photograph anything I could see. Whether it was my stuffed animal collection, curtains, sunsets, our family pets or random candids at home. My parents would tell me to stop wasting film when they realized their rolls of film only had 1 or 2 shots left, or when they discovered their developed photos were lineups of stuffed animals and blurry sunsets. Little did I and my parents know that it would lead to a career years later. I was a musical theater kid, an emo/punk kid and a dancer. My first career dreams were to become a veterinarian or a music video director. In college, I wanted to start my own dance company and become a professional choreographer. That is where I found photography again thanks to one of my college dance partners! For a while, my dream was to be in a boyband, however that hasn’t happened yet. So until then, I’m a Photographer. I love my career, the business that I’ve built and the relationships I’ve grown over the years.
